Abu Dhabi - August 14 2024: The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) announced today the extension of the period for receiving applications for Cycle 3 of its Parent-friendly Label™ (PFL) until September 19, 2024, providing semi-government, private and the third sector organizations the opportunity to complete their applications for a chance to earn the Label.
Since the ECA began accepting applications last February, there has been wide interest from applicants, prompting the ECA to extend the application window to enable the largest possible number of organizations to submit their applications. ECA has called upon interested organizations throughout the UAE to finalize their applications during the extended period.
The PFL is a UAE-wide voluntary workplace award program that allows organizations operating in the country within the semi-governmental, private and third sectors, the opportunity to earn a label in recognition of their commitment to a supportive work culture and policies which ultimately impact children of 0-8 years old.
Since its launch in 2021, the program has made a positive impact in the lives of more than 148,000 employees, 50,000 children aged between 0 and 8, including 1,492 Children of Determination, and around 67,000 parents working across 25 different sectors across the UAE.

The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) is a government entity, based in Abu Dhabi, that supports holistic early childhood development. We do this by developing policies and laws, informing decision-making through research and transforming behavior.
