Abu Dhabi, 13 November 2025 – The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) has released The Parent Pack, a digital guide designed to empower parents and caregivers of children from birth to age eight with practical and reliable guidance. In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), the Pack will be distributed to families through schools across the Emirate and is also available for download on the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week website (www.ADECWeek.ae).
The Parent Pack brings together expert advice across four key topics: Health and Nutrition, Keeping your child safe in the UAE, Early Education and Positive Parenting. Families will find guidance on breastfeeding, maternal wellness, and early childhood nutrition, along with tips to help keep children safe at home and in their surroundings. The Pack also shares everyday learning strategies that support brain development and language growth through simple, daily interactions.
The Pack also gives parents tips on how to manage their own well-being. It includes reminders on the importance of rest, self-care, and asking for support when needed, recognizing that caring for young children starts with caring for yourself. The Parent Pack offers a reliable resource that encourages confident, connected parenting.
Dr. Hessa Al Kaabi, Executive Director, Special Projects & Partnerships at ECA, said: “Every parent wants to give their child the best start, but the early years can be full of questions. These first eight years shape everything that comes next, and parents are the ones building that foundation every day. By sharing The Parent Pack through schools and online, we’re putting helpful information in families’ hands, where they can make the biggest difference.”
Mariam Alhallami, Early Education Sector Executive Director at ADEK, said: “The early years are the most defining phase of a child’s development, laying the foundation for lifelong learning, well-being, and success. Parents play a central role in shaping that journey. Our collaboration with ECA enables us to provide families with practical tools and trusted insights that support children’s growth, helping parents feel more confident, supported, and connected. Together, we’re ensuring every child in Abu Dhabi has the strongest possible start”
The launch of the Parent Pack comes just ahead of Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Week 2025, which runs from 17 to 23 November. This year’s edition is supported by ADNOC as the Energy Partner, the National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) as the Visionary Partner, and PureHealth as the Health Partner. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to explore the Pack and use it as a guide as their child grows, learns, and thrives.

The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) is a government entity, based in Abu Dhabi, that supports holistic early childhood development. We do this by developing policies and laws, informing decision-making through research and transforming behavior.
